Dear Christina, Amy was the reason behind me dying my hair black, I loved her and am glad that I had the opportunity to have seen her play live several times.
The last time I saw her play I was so sad as I knew it would probably be the last. Let's hope she's finally found peace. Love you. x

Those are my two of my favourite Amy songs - I really think she was quite an underrated lyricist as well as an obviously talented singer. You chose great photographs of her too, it's been so sad to see all the terrible pictures of her in the depths of her addiction resurfacing.
I still remember where I was when I heard the news about Kurt Cobain - I was revising for exams and he was of course older than me - now we're losing people younger than I am. It's such a waste. RIP Amy, I'm sorry none of it made you happy.

What an unfortunate, sad loss. She was so talented. But like most geniuses, she too had her flaws. I loved her music, and it's really tragic that we won't get any more of her lovely voice.

These photos are beautiful, but she hasn't looked like that for quite a while. Drugs and drink had utterly ruined her.
I prefer to remember her like this too.

Oh what a lovely post about her. I was so saddened by the news and it was made worse by the reaction of some people on Twitter. Honestly I don't know what's wrong with them - jumping straight in to either slate her or bang on about this mythical 27 club. I don't find addiction something to be either mocked or glamourised, it's just incredibly sad.

Such talent, but a victim of the modern world.
