Yet another sequin dress

How fabulous is this red one?
I haven't found one like this on Ebay yet, but I live in hope

And I love this in gold, although I have a couple in gold already.  I don't know what it is but I keep buying really similar things.  I can't even blame it on my memory this time!  I suppose it's a case of knowing what shapes suit you. You have to admit these are very alike, the only saving grace is at least they're in different colours

Antik Batik bronze sequin dress

£70 on Ebay in 2008

Karen Millen gold and silver sequin dress

£120 on Ebay in 2009

Biba black and gold sequin dress

£40 on Ebay, January 2011

I quite like it backwards too

The first piece of new Biba I own

I thought it might go quite well with the sequin boots The Actor bought me in the Office sale for £20.  And so much easier to trot around in than a stiletto.
Total cost of outfit = £60

My favourite is still this gold mini kaftan dress that my friend Jo Butler found in a charity shop for £5

Do you find yourself repeatedly buying similar things, or is it just me? xxx

Oh my God! I just realized what I am going to send you if I can find it. Oh Lord. Perfect.

I own about 20 striped tshirts. And not a single sequinned item! Ha!

Shows how suburban my life is and how glamorous yours is, Christina! Your sequinned numbers are so gorgeous.

You are a total DIVA, aren't you?
But so am I so, of course, I understand. I looked on Ebay last night to see if there was anything; geez, one could stay up all night with the deals going on.
xx's, lovie, or is it lovey?

I have one dark bronze sequin suit. You make me want to wear it every day!

Belle de Ville said...

OMG, I'm blinded by all the light coming off those sequins.
I wish that I had a life that was fancy enough to wear such dresses!

Wow haha, I own lots of the same t-shirts and stuff, but not a single sequin dress! It's sooo glam! You really make me want to buy one though, but I wouldn't know when to wear it - ever. lol

What fabulous frocks! I can't believe you managed to snaffle Biba for £40, totally brilliant bargain.
Love that last picture of you in the charity shop frock, you look like Farrah Fawcett back in her Charlies Angels days. xxx

I'm a terror for buying similar things!

I have several different pairs of my favourite jeans, umpteen aqua/teal tunic-tops, several 50s style seaside/prom dresses (all floral/similar) and enough red waisted tops to open a uniform emporium.

I guess it's just when you try something on and like it... you have to have it!

I love repeats because you want a variety of what you like! I go for what I like first and then as many choices therein!! Of course sequins need no justifications xx

You look fantastic in gold. And so it should be, you are a goddess.
Much love my dear Christina.

I love it so much... I also love the AnikB xx

I keep buying vintage wool skirts! I have a pathological fear of getting 'cold hips'. Someone needs to peel them out of my hands and tell me spring is here.

You ARE a goddess in sequins.

I go for jeans and black jersey dresses. I didn't know this until a friend pointed it out to me. We are no longer friends but that's another (longer) story.

Love your post as always, Christina. Sorry I've been off blogging - getting a connection was so hard on holiday.

Lots of love

Fabulous, a girl can't have too many sparkles! The Antik Batik is my favourite.

I do repeatedly buy similar things, just put it down to personal style!

Looooove that red sequin dress - if you find one on ebay see if you can find another one in a *cough* larger size *cough cough* much larger ;-)

Looking gorge in your gold mini kaftan!

I am dying at all of your sequins - DYING I tell ya! And one a gold caftan mini, no less?!!!! LEAVE SOME FOR THE REST OF US, WOMAN! I think you need to post another photo of that last one w/you standing (or on your mannequin) so we can see the whole thing.

Green with envy....

At the moment heavy bangles and loud prints are a magnet for me. I've never liked them in my life before and suddenly they're all over me!

That red sequin dress is TO DIE FOR! Love it!!

I love the Karen Millen. I'm sure you look fab in all of them.

If I find something I really like, I buy several of them. Recently, I bought six pairs of cargo pants in three different colors.

Love you lots,

I think it's entirely sensible to stock up on things you like and that suit you, regardless of how similar they are (says the girl who counted 6 almost identical grey jumpers in her wardrobe last week...) Besides, your dresses are all very slightly different aren't they?

Hi my dear, or should I say Farrah-Vix is right, you look like my fave Charlies Angel here!! Adore the new Biba dress, your collection is just stunning!! My weakness repeat buys are jackets, I really cannot resist, lol!! xxx

Christina...these are all fantastic and I love the last shot of you. I really have to get onto Ebay always post the most incredible finds. Someday you will have to reveal your trick of the trade to finding gems like this. Be sure to let me know when you do!

Fabulous collection of dresses, every girl should have a bit of sparkle in her wardrobe! I tend to get in a habit of buying cream vintage looking tops to wear with my skinny jeans. xx

I love the gold sequined dresses. I do have a bad habit of repeatedly buying similar things. You can't help but gravitate to your natural preferences, but I do try to take a look into my closet before I go shopping now a days to help me remember what I have.

Love them. I adore the one with the low back. I could never wear it. I don't think my husband would be able to keep from groping me!

You look beautiful and can never have too many sequins!!
