Where I actually get up early

The lilies from the flowers The Actor gave me for my Birthday last weekend are still going strong

I went to bed at 1.30am last night which is very early for me and I woke up at 7.15am.  This is unheard of on a Saturday.  I'm really liking being up at this time as it's a such a novelty!

The postman arrived at 8am with some more of the Ebay stuff I bought.  I had a little bit of a frenzy on there recently.  God knows why I decided to go mad in January!  I must blog some of the pieces I've bought but I need someone to take full length pictures of me.  I  don't know how to use the self timer and need to find the manual.  I must also work it out but where you actually put the camera?  Will I need a tripod?  There's all these extra things I need.  I keep meaning to buy a light so I can take better pictures - I absolutely hate overhead lighting, I never have it on at home, only lamps.  I have to put them on to get enough light to take a proper picture and I still manage to take blurred ones.

The only real purchase I've made purely for my blog is my mannequin Tallulah.  At Christmas we moved her out to accommodate the Christmas tree but when that went The Actor said the room looked really bare so we put her back in.  She's back in a Westwood look.

Tallulah is part of the furniture now

It is seriously cold again today.  I need to sort out my knitwear drawers.  I have much more than I thought I did.  I rummaged through and found the warmest bits I could.  Nearly everything was bought for next to nothing on Ebay.  I bought a couple of pairs of cashmere leggings from US sellers just before Christmas, both pairs were under £25.  I have on a cream Neiman Marcus pair with an oversize Harrods cream cashmere jumper that I bought ages ago on Ebay for £20, a cream cashmere scarf from Johnsons of Elgin which was £18 and my Uggs.  There's no way I'd pay full price for cashmere when it's such a steal on Ebay.  Even the cream Uggs were only £80 on Ebay.

I should really be getting on my Wii Fit and I AM trying to psyche myself up to do something but a) not being a morning person and b) not being used to doing any exercise at all, it isn't exactly the first thing I think about!  Hmmm.

I have absolutely no plans today which is lovely all I need to do is get some food.  I'm off to cook some breakfast.

Have a lovely day xxx

Love your home! Sadly we cannot have a mannequin, His Lordship finds dolls and mannequins etc' a little spooky.

Christina - you so should have lived in the 1920s - I imagine the word 'prohibition' would have been like catnip to you! I love your eccentricity with Tallulah; she does look at home. The flowers are beautiful - your Actor is a sweetie. Lou x

Exercise is very over-rated, but I would thoroughly recommend Dance 2 or Dance 1 for the wii. Especially if you've got friends around!

I have bribed sonshine to dance/compete against me every day for half an hour and it's loads of fun! And good for the arms :)

Let me know how you get on with the yoga on the wii fit. And for God's sakes make sure you've got the balance board FACING the machine. I couldn't understand why I was so shit at it - balance board facing round the wrong way!.

Can't believe you were up before noon lol!

Tallulah and the flowers are both looking magnificent! You ought to go on the Wii Fit for half an hour of stepping, it'll warm you up a treat. It's so cold here, I'm trying to get Jon to take me charity shopping but he's got a man-gover (ten times worse than a raditional hangover us woman get). xxx

Lillies are so brilliant for their long lastingness - I have a bunch of lillies in my kitchen all the time. I usually replace them about every 10 days. The kitchen looks so bare without a lovely bunch of flowers in the corner now.

I also have no plans for today...my other half has not come back form last night so looks like I'll be snuggling on the sofa solo watching some rubbish TV having been to the gym this morning - glad I got that out of the way for the weekend!

Ah yes, where to put the camera indeed. It's a bloody nightmare, isn't it? Wherever I put the camera it's always too high or too low, and makes me look even fatter than I already am. I've got the timer worked out but it's hard to get into the right pose within the time. I think a remote is the go. cold weather sounds so lovely, please think of me sweating away in tropical nightmare humidity & heat.xx.

Fantastic photos, the lillies are beautiful. I also love the fact you have Tallulah posing in the lounge!

The only thing that I'll willingly get out of bed early for is the postman knocking on the door with parcels, then I'm down the stairs in a shot!
I've put a few pics from my Boudoir shoot up if you wanna have a look...

Cashmere leggings are an excellent idea. Do you have a preferred store you buy them from, or just anywhere on ebay?

I make Mr D take all my pictures, but was loooking at tripods the other day and this one is a bargain at only £7:

Enjoy your breakfast, we just treated ourselves to smoked salmon, cream cheese and avocado and bagels so I am feeling very smug right now xx

What a beautiful living room. Tallulah fits the decor perfectly. I have a living room mannekin too (named Emmanuelle), but realized that I need to change her outfit!

The bouquet grows lovelier every day!

Steady on Christina, you'll be wearing Lycra and jogging round the park soon. I think you've already got the right idea. Getting up early is for suckers, especially in the winter.
