I love these vintage pictures of Cher. I think she's an amazing, strong woman. Cher's been around for so long, she's like an institution. I also think she's a very good actress and I've really enjoyed her films particularly Moonstruck, Mask, Silkwood, Tea With Mussolini and Mermaids. Here are some of my favourite Cher quotes.

Sadly Cher's face has not altered a day since her birth. She is frozen in time in a frightening way at 64. I wish she would "age" at least to 40.

I'm surprised by her quotes. I've never really 'examined' Cher but she seems a total hero now after reading the quotes and fab images too.

Dear Simone, I've ordered a copy of Moonstruck as I haven't seen it for donkeys years and my senile old granny memory will make me feel like the first time I've seen it!
The only picture that isn't pre-1978 is the colour one third from the bottom with the piebald horse. All the others are Sixties or Seventies. Hope you've had a lovely weekend. I can't believe we're still waiting for the snow! xx

Oh wasn't she beautiful? Some really illuminating quotes there too - it's easy to make fun of all the plastic surgery etc but some of those quotes really help explain why she's taken the steps she has.
