The Actor and I went along to the launch of the fantastic Patron Silver Reindeer at the Big Sky Studios just along the road from St Pancras Station. The "one weekend only" Christmas feasting restaurant is open from Thursday to Sunday for lunch and dinner.
We were greeted by our fabulous hosts, Pablo and David then went straight to the drinks reception at the back of the huge and stunning studio space before we sat down to dinner. It was full of our friends and we all had a marvelous time catching up with everyone and sampled a range of David Waddington's Patron Tequila cocktails.

David and Pablo looked extremely dashing in Jil Sander velvet smoking jackets and David was sporting a bow tie. We were serenaded on the grand piano by Xavior, who was the pianist at the original Reindeer and plays at Bistrotheque at weekends.
British fashion was out in force, most of them straight from the British Fashion Council Awards on Wednesday night. The tequila cocktails soon perked them up!
Fashion's most wanted set designer, Gary Card
We all sat down to dinner on long tables inside a vast set of cut out giant snowflakes. The stylish and contemporary Christmas set was designed by the extremely talented Gary Card.
Patron Silver Reindeer is a feasting restaurant. We were brought huge silver platters of delicious dressed crab on a bed of salad, foié gras paté with melba toast and Beetroot, celeriac and orange salads for us to share.
Roasted quail with bacon
Mixed beets and orange salad with horseradish cream
Honey roast pheasant
This was followed by more trays full of mouth-watering roasted quails, pheasant legs in honey and wonderfully tender English ham, sweet roasted carrots, perfectly cooked brussels sprouts and beautifully rich Dauphinoise potatoes. The Actor was in his element! He finished everything on my plate too.
Next came some Tequila sorbet which was wonderful but much more dangerous than it first appeared!
Dark chocolate tart with salted caramelised pistachios, served with a salted caramel sauce was delicious
Tequila Tiramisu cocktail - so wonderful it could be my new drink of choice!
We had such a great time, the atmosphere was fabulous. We all sat around chatting for ages after the food was finished. There were bottles of Patron Tequila everywhere and we were all given a bottle to take home with us. I bet there were a few sore heads on Friday!
